Isometric Processing can read two file formats:

1. IDF (Isogen Data File) — the original piping data file format developed by Alias Ltd., output by such CAD systems as PDS, PDMS, PASCE, and Tribon.

2. PCF (Piping Component File) — a more modern piping data file format, also developed by Alias Ltd., output by CAD systems like AutoPlant, Plant4D, CADWorx, CATIA, and Pro-Inventor.

The IDF and PCF are input files for Isogen and SpoolGen (from Alias Ltd.), which then produce the "paper" isometric drawings and spool sheets.
